How We Work
Our book printing process from quotes to delivery
To help you understand what's involved and how we work here at Book Printing Online, we have set out below the steps involved, from the time you first contact us to when we deliver your books to your door.
Quick price calculator
Enter your book requirements into our 'Quick Price Calculator'. Don't forget to add your 'Optional Extras' to get a more accurate total.
Note: Prices can not be finalised until we view your artwork.
Request a quote and/or place your order
Complete our simple order form with your contact details and printing specifications.
This will allow us to send you a full, accurate quotation. If your artwork is complete, feel free to send it to us in order for us to finalise the quote.
Note: Prices can not be finalised until we view your artwork.
Send your artwork
We make sending your artwork to us easy. Simply use our Artwork Upload Form by following the on-screen instructions. Alternatively, send it to us via post or email. Please state your name and book title.
What is 'Print-Ready Artwork'? High resolution PDF with crop marks and 3mm bleed. Microsoft Word Documents may require typesetting at 50p per page.
Payment
Once we've received your artwork, we will review it to check for any problems. If everything is OK, we can accept payment in the following ways:
- Over the phone using your credit/debit card.
- Cheques by post
- PayPal. We will send you a PayPal invoice via email allowing you to pay securely online.
Typesetting & proofs
Once we have received full payment, we will begin putting your book together. At this stage we may contact you if there is anything unclear.
A hard copy proof is sent to you for approval, so any final amendments can be made. All additional proofs will be digital PDFs sent via email. Once you are happy with your book, we can begin production.
Production & delivery
The delivery date will be confirmed at proof sign-off, and we will then print, bind and deliver the books to your door.
